The electric 12-string guitar has long been part of Shergold’s story. From the pioneering Shergold 12-string guitar and bass double-neck played by Genesis’ Mike Rutherford in the 1970s to our latest generation of instruments, our philosophy has remained unchanged: build guitars that inspire creativity and give you the freedom to forge your own distinctive sound.
The Shergold Telstar Standard 12-String continues this legacy. While the unmistakable harmonic shimmer of a 12-string remains at its heart, the Telstar 12 is built to take you far beyond this. Designed in the UK by Patrick James Eggle, its performance-focused design rewards exploration of entirely new sonic territories, opening up a world of expansive textures, powerful octave-driven riffs, chiming melodies and atmospheric soundscapes.
The Telstar 12 features a poplar body, paired with a maple neck and laurel fingerboard. Its 6-string through-body / 6-string through-bridge fixed bridge design ensures excellent tuning stability and precise intonation via 12 individually adjustable saddles.
The solid Black colour body with high-gloss finish is loaded with two FilterSonic Humbucker pickups, completing the Telstar Standard 12-String’s stylish, inimitable design.
