Data Protection

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mails, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments and providing customer services. Such companies and individuals will have access to personal information needed to perform these functions, but may not use it for any other purposes and are required to process the data in accordance with the Irish Data Protection Act 1988. The promusica.ie payment pages use encryption technology to provide security of payments. The user agrees that the payment information provided by him may be held by JEM Music Limited and may only be given to payment partners (such as a bank) and only to any other party with the users express permission (save where the laws of the citizenship, domicile or residence of the user prohibit such information). Credit card payments are processed by Stripe via their payment processing system. The credit card details are not made available at any time to JEM Music Limited.

Paypal Payments are processed by PayPal using their own system. Where orders have been placed using Klarna, the data is processed under Klarna’s data privacy policy.

Pro Musica uses the information collected from you to provide quotations, answer general queries, send orders, make telephone contact and to email you marketing information which Pro Musica believes may be of interest to you and your business. In you making initial contact you consent to Pro Musica maintaining a marketing dialogue with you until you either opt out (which you can do at any stage by emailing info@promusica.ie) or we decide to desist in promoting our services.

Pro Musica also acts on behalf of its clients in the capacity of data processor. When working exclusively as a data processor, Pro Musica will be acting on the instruction of its client, and will work hard to ensure that the client is fully GDPR compliant.

Some personal data may be collected about you from the forms and surveys you complete, from records of our correspondence and phone calls and details of your visits to our website, including but not limited to personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

Data will be accurate and complete and, where necessary, kept up to date. Magnet Networks has an online portal where our customer can update their contact details.

Data will be adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it was obtained.

The acquisition methods we use for example account application forms, marketing surveys, or competition entries will have clear information to explain the intended purposes including secondary uses that may not be obvious to you for example if a competition entry is intended to be used for marketing purposes we will clearly advise you of this and the appropriate opt out mechanism.

Data is held in Ireland using different (multiple) servers. Pro Musica does not store personal data outside the EEA.

Pro Musica takes technical measures as well as organisational security measures which are set out in law and by industry standards to ensure that we protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

We will ensure that we use your personal information as set out in our privacy notice and to the choices that you have made regarding permission. Payment Processing with Klarna

In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Your personal data transferred is processed in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice.

To access what personal data is held, identification will be required

Pro Musica will accept the following forms of ID when information on your personal data is requested: a copy of your national ID card, driving license, passport, birth certificate and a utility bill not older than three months. A minimum of one piece of photographic ID listed above and a supporting document is required. If Pro Musica is dissatisfied with the quality, further information may be sought before personal data can be released.
