The works of French composer Jacques Ibert were known for their characteristic rich colour, beauty and musical craftsmanship. His Histoires, or ‘Stories’, for Piano solo, along with the Escales for Orchestra, brought him worldwide fame and recognition.
Le Petit Ane Blanc is the second piece from the Histoires collection for Solo Piano, and demonstrates Ibert’s talent for creating image-fused melodies.
