Description
The sonatas of Domenico Cimarosa (1749-1801) make a valuable addition to the concert and pedagogical repertory. His best pieces show a remarkable stylistic refinement and reveal the composer’s ability to write for the piano with brilliance and charm. 32 sonatas od Cimarosa were discovered and edited in the early 1920s by the Italian pianist and librarian Felice Boghen. Nine wonderful sonatas from the first edition are included into this collection with clarifications, revisions and performance indications. The other sonatas are from Italian and Japanese editions.
