Description
A Rigadoon is a lively old dance in common or duple time, said to have originated in Southern France (Fr. ‘Rigaudon’). Some authorities claim that the word is English, deriving from ‘rig’ – lively, frolicsome. This Rigadoon is by Reginald Hunt and in keeping with its nature, is a very fun, active piece. Duration is two minutes on four pages of sheet music and is suitable for Grade four.
