Critics are often made to Czerny´s exercises books, generally equaling all his books to the repetition Hanon exercises, saying that they are all based in repetition to increase the strength of the fingers. In fact, the books of Czerny, while advocating the repetition of some exercises, are based on the various technical, musical and stylistic problems that a student can find in musical literature.
