Handel: Book III of Selected Keyboard Works. (Five Miscellaneous Suites).

Description

Of the five suites in Book III, three (Nos. 3, 4 & 5) have been selected from the unequal second selection of suites – those which in the editor’s judgement, are most consistently fine and satisfying as a whole. Alongside these are the two compact and beautiful suites – almost certainly Handel’s last works in the form – which, according to a contemporary copy, were written for Princess Louisa, daughter of George the II.
